Yuba-Sutter United Way has announced the first year recipients of their “Healthier Children” Community Impact Grants.
“These non-profit agencies demonstrated their abilities to provide additional services and programs above their current levels of service,” said Bob Harlan, Executive Director of Yuba-Sutter United Way.
“This is clearly the most efficient use of $50,000 in donor monies I have ever witnessed,” Harlan said.
Hundreds of youth through 17 years of age in Yuba, Sutter and Colusa counties will benefit.
The 2016 grant process will begin in November, 2015.
The 16 grantees are: Allyn Scott Youth and Community Center; Butchie’s Pool; Casa de Esperanza; Family SOUP; Friends of Yuba City Parks and Rec; Girl Scouts Heart of Central California; Girls on the Run Soroptimist of Sutter County; Iles Academy of Golf; Punjabi American Heritage Society; Rideout Health Foundation; Shady Creek Outdoor Education Foundation; Mother Hubbard’s Food Closet—St. Andrew Presbyterian Church; Public Playground – St. Isidore Catholic School; Yuba Sutter Veteran’s Stand Down; and Yuba-Sutter Food Bank.
