It’s Parade Time in Wheatland

The Wheatland Lions Club is having their 90th Annual Pet Parade on Saturday, May 17, 2014.

It's time to fill out your entry forms for this fun filled day with a small town atmosphere of simple pleasure, while children show off their pride with a procession of their pets. Watch as they parade down Main Street waving to all in their sight. Memories of 90 years of family fun bring the old and the young to this event.

The theme for this year’s event is Armed Forces Day. Costumes are not required, but it is a fun way to show your patriotic spirit. Use your imagination to decorate your float, or have your organization dress in red, white, and blue.

They encourage the Military families from Beale, Veterans, Senior Citizens, and surrounding communities, to join us in celebrating the special day for all the pets, who love us so dearly.

The following organizations and businesses will be taking part in this year’s event.

Wheatland Police Department-Will be conducting Finger Printing for all children, and they will be giving pets, blue flashing dog bones.
