Logue Town Hall on Obamacare Draws Overflow Crowd

Yuba City, Ca.
North State Assemblyman Dan Logue today co-hosted with the Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce a Town Hall and informational meeting to an overflow crowd regarding the Affordable Care Act also known as Obamacare and its effects on families and small business in the North State.
"We had over 150 in attendance not including the panel members and staff," said Logue. "I was very impressed that so many folks were willing to turn out in the middle of the day to join us for this important conversation on how Obamacare will affect their families and businesses."
Attendees heard from a panel of distinguished policy experts, healthcare and business leaders including: David Panush-Director of Government Relations for the California Health Benefit Exchange, Dr. Richard E. Thorp, MD-President-Elect of the California Medical Association, Ken DeVore-Legislative Director of the National Federation of Independent Business in California, and Charles Bacchi-Executive Vice President of the California Association of Health Plans.
"This was an outstanding event and a great public service," stated Ken DeVore of the National Federation of Independent Business. "This is the first meeting of it's kind and I know that the issues and concerns brought forward here can only help California small business as we prepare for the full implementation of the Affordable Care Act."
"The reality is that like it or not, Obamacare is going to affect California very soon," said Logue. "What matters now is getting the public accurate information as to how it will affect their families, businesses and communities, so they are aware of what changes will occur, this event marks a very productive first step in that process."
