Critic's Corner

Home
Featuring the voices of:
Jim Parsons,
Rihanna, and Steve Martin
Rated: PG Runtime: 94 min

Home, is an animated children’s movie about an alien race that takes over the world while fleeing a relentless adversary. One alien misfit befriends the last human outside of captivity in order to keep from being erased. Their bonding and understanding of each other is a saving grace of the film.
The story could have been smarter, but it was made to fit around the 3-D format. It seems that when 3-D is involved the story always suffers. The voices were good and the animation was well done.
Home, earns two out of five, Truth Finding Monkeys. The younger the audience the more monkeys it earns. There are some funny parts so it is not a waste of money to see on the big screen, but it would be better watched with younger children just to see them react to it.
