Colusa Western Days, and Parade

April 10th, 11th, & 12th 2015.

The Colusa Western Days was founded around 17 years ago and embraces the heritage of the western culture with a action packed weekend full of fun and entertainment. Some of the events participants and spectators will encounter during the weekend includes Calf Branding, Penning and Sorting, the infamous Western Trade Show, Cowboy Entertainment and the delicious Rib Cook-off, Ranch Roping and the ever so popular Dutch Oven Cook-off. Without a doubt there something for everyone to enjoy at the Colusa Western Days event located at the Colusa County Fair Grounds.
The parade launches at Market and 10th Streets on Friday, April 10th at 5:30 and ends at the Colusa Fairgrounds. The Parade consists of horse drawn wagons, mounted groups, floats and individuals.
Some of the events includes Calf Paint Branding, Team Penning and Sorting, the infamous Western Trade Show, Cowboy Entertainment and the delicious Rib Cook-off, Ranch Roping and the ever so popular Dutch Oven Cook-off.

A new addition to the weekend is a 5K that is being organized by Andrea Thomas as her senior project. Ms. Thomas has volunteered at Colusa Western Days for a number of years and she is excited to add to the fun of the weekend! The 5K is a fund raiser with proceeds going to support ALS research in loving memory of Colusa County residents that have lost their lives to the disease which includes her late grandfather, Mr. Jerry Vann.
