Pet of the Week - Henry or Henrietta

Hey, you! Yeah, I’m talking to you. How’s it going? Sheesh. It’s hard being small sometimes. Cats and dogs aren’t the only critters available at Yuba County Animal Care Services. I just wanted to let you know that I’m available too. The shelter gets all kinds of critters, goats, chickens, fish, and even bunnies. I just want to say, “We need forever homes too!” My name is Henry (A135916). Now they call me Henry, but have no idea if I am a boy or girl….so my name could actually be Henrietta. I’m really a face-to-face kinda guinea pig. I love to be held and could use a little exercise. Not saying I’m chubby, but I am a little bigger than your average guinea pig. I am quick; the nice gentleman that found me said it took him forty-five minutes to catch me. How did I know he wasn’t going to eat me! The ladies at the shelter gave me a pedicure and my nails look fabulous. So if you are looking for a low maintenance family member, just ask the shelter staff to introduce us. Yuba County Animal Care Services is located at, 5245 Feather River Blvd., in Olivehurst, 530-741-6478. Kennel hours are Monday – Friday 10am – 3:30pm and Saturdays 10am – 2 pm. You can also go to www.petharbor.com or www.petfinder.com to see our available animals.
