LaPorte's 4th of July Parade

On Saturday July 6th the small community of LaPorte will have its "World's Greatest One Block Parade". The parade organizers are hoping that people will not only come to the celebration but also participate in the parade and plan for a full day of fun. At noon the day events will begin with the "6th First Annual Heinz 57 Varity Dog Show". Some of America's "Most Challenged Canines" will strut their stuff. At 2:00 the parade will begin followed by free ice cream in front of the Museum. At 6:00 Tri-Tip dinner will served at the fire house and the dance, featuring Tijuana Taxi, will start at 8:00.
