Special Event Trail Closures at Lake Oroville State Recreation Area

WHERE: Lake Oroville State Recreation Areas

Bidwell Canyon Area, Loafer Creek Area, Saddle Dam Area

 WHEN:           Sunday, April 12, 2015

                        5:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.                   

 

WHY: This closure will provide for the safety and welfare of the participants, observers and visitors during Under the Sun Event’s “Trail Less Traveled” run in the following areas; Saddle Dam Area, the Dan Beebe trail from the Saddle Dam Area to the Lake Oroville Visitor Center including the Bidwell Canyon Area. The Loafer Creek trail complex is also closed for the duration of the special event.

ADDITIONAL INFO:  Though public trail access is still available at all other areas within Lake Oroville State Recreation Area during the event, equestrians are recommended to utilize the trailheads at the Spillway Area during the time of the event.
