Club & Casino Agree To Naming Rights Deal
Marysville, Ca.
The Marysville Gold Sox (Horizon Air Summer Series) announced that they will play their 2015 baseball season at Colusa Casino Stadium.
Colusa Casino Resort has purchased the naming rights for the ballpark, at 14th and B streets in Marysville, according to Gold Sox spokesman Dave Schmall.
"This agreement is clear evidence of the commitment that Colusa Casino has to the Yuba-Sutter community," said Schmall. "This agreement will help ensure that the Gold Sox can continue to provide fun affordable family entertainment to the community for years to come."
Home of the Marysville Gold Sox since 2003, the ballpark seats nearly 3,500 people and hosts 44 Gold Sox games each year. In addition, the park has hosted a number of non-baseball events, including concerts, a college graduation and mixed martial arts matches.
"When we presented the sponsorship opportunity to Colusa Casino, it became clear that they wanted to do something that could help increase the quality of life of Yuba-Sutter residents, and specifically families" said Schmall. Schmall continued "We suggested the naming right sponsorship and they were all in."
"Colusa Casino Resort has a deep history of community involvement, and this is a perfect continuation the business' values. The partnership with the Gold Sox is yet another opportunity to give back to the Yuba-Sutter Community," said General Manager, Victor Fernandez. "The Gold Sox do a great job of providing the Yuba-Sutter Community with family entertainment in the summer and we are very excited to be part of it."
The Gold Sox serve as the host team for the Horizon Air Summer Series, featuring teams from the western United States comprised of top collegiate players.
The 2015 season begins May 21, 2015.
