Historic Downtown Marysville to Host Car Show

Marysville, Ca.

The 4th Annual Linda Lions Car Show on April 27th starts at 8 AM. This year’s fundraiser is going to be a little different. First the venue moved to “D” Street between 1st and 3rd. The focus will be on the autos and the engines. All kinds of cars are welcome - street rods, customs, classics, hot rods, new builds and gasers. The local import clubs are coming too. A wide spectrum of styles and interests is expected for all in an old town atmosphere - safe and family-friendly.

One of the local businesses has really stepped up for the community. CSD Engines has bestowed the Linda Lions with a performance engine that will be raffled off at the car show. "They are truly giving back to the area where they have built their lives and a successful company," said Cathy Seidel. You can view the engine at their new upscale showroom at 527 E Street, Marysville. To purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win this engine, they are sold at CSD Engines (530-743-4343), Pack and Post Centers at 937 N. Beale, Suite D (530-741-0885) and Cycle Service at 937 N. Beale, Suite A (530-742-8282). There’s lots of other prizes that will be part of the raffle also.

Mom’s Diner is offering their full breakfast menu from 8am - 11 am . Friday Night Live is providing DJ music at the car show. Just down the street, “Smokin’ to the Beat”, a BBQ Cook Off will be starting at 11 am featuring a live band.

Cathy Seidel mentioned that, "We look forward to a leisurely spring day in our charming downtown with so much to visit and do. If you are downtown, please stop by the car show. You can see a lot of cool cars, visit with the proud owners, buy a few chances to win stuff and help the Linda Lions raise funds...100% of which are used for our community. Lions International is the largest service club in the world. We are dedicated to the neighborhoods we live in - the schools, the environment, vision care. We help people get eyeglasses, medical devices and wherever we are able to help.

There will be a lot of people strolling through all the festivities. Come for the breakfast, stay for the lunch and meet your neighbors."
